I was at Web Essentials yesterday and listened to Tantek’s talks; the one about Microformats was particularily interesting as I had no knowledge on the subject, and Tantek really opened up the door to what it’s all about.
Oh and the first one on XHTML was also excellent!
Once again, thanks to Tantek for coming over to speak to us – greatly appreciated.
Nathanael, thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked the talks.
I’ve posted the presentations online as well:
The Elements of Meaningful XHTML
Is it just me, or is the second audio clip only about 31 minutes and seems to only be half of the slide? Is there a second half, or was it just not recorded?
I haven’t listened to it, but I’m told that the recording was, indeed, partial.
I second Nathanael’s comments there, I really had no idea what microformats were until Tantek took the stage at WE05.
Tantek’s presentations are in my top three for the event along with Jeffery Veen and Kelly Goto which surprised me as I went primarily for Eric Meyer and Doug Bowman. I think the subject matter caught my attention because it was newer to me that CSS.
Cheers Tantek, it was a pleasure to see you speak. (who could ever guess the box model was so easy to fix?)
It’s not just you, I’m missing the second half, too.
The first 31 mins. were great, though, I can’t wait to hear the rest!

Brian: I seem to be getting that as well…
I asked in #microformats and apparently the audio got clipped, so there’s no recording of it anywhere. The Web Essentials Podcast page also lists the recording as incomplete.
Just recently finished hearing tantek’s talk through podcast regarding microformats, it was really good and mind-opening. Thanks
