I love where this discussion is going!

I tried (and failed miserably) to talk about "result sets" (Tantek
gets the credit for naming them correctly) earlier -- remember the
"controlled-collection" fiasco?

I think the direction that this discussion is progressing toward is
similar in spirit to my idea, although I was trying to address a
different need: coming up with a consistent way to describe how to
query and manage a result set.
