Why not just use <a class="url" href="#">...</a> (filling in whatever
you want for '...'.
I would suggest putting an @id attribute on the hcard's root element,
as that allows people to link specifically to it, and,f or example,
use X2V to transform just that part of the document.

Well, we try to *minimize* the amount of work necessary to publish
microformats, but we can't always get all the way down to 0 work.
At the same time, we advocate best practices for web content
authoring. In this case, the relevant best practice is adding
permalinks and/or fragment identifiers to important document fragments*.
