Yes -- the "category" attribute was included to define product types. In
most examples listed on the hproduct-examples page [1], these would
appear in the "breadcrumbs", similar to this example snippet:

<ul id="breadcrumb">
	<li><a href="/home/index.jsp" class="breadcrumb">Home</a></li>
	<li class="category"><a
href=/category/index.jsp?categoryId=2568451">Hardware</a></li>
	<li class="category"><a
href=/category/index.jsp?categoryId=2626209">Fasteners</a></li>
	<li class="category"><a
href=/category/index.jsp?categoryId=2627479">Screws</a></li>
	<li class="category"><a
href=/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2627507">Drywall Screws</a></li>
</ul>

Is there a way to identify what the product is ... a "book", a "dvd"

Regards, etc...
