I think what is trying to be stated here is, that there is no specific HTML tags that are required within most microformats. For example, in hCard it would not matter if I used a div, span, or li (as we've been seeing recently) etc.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Perhaps I'm way off on what is trying to be said, in this particular instance, but it would appear that what Benjamin said is indeed correct, that the actual HTML used to markup a hCard (or other microformat) isn't necessarily set in stone.</DIV><DIV><BR class="khtml-block-placeholder"></DIV><DIV>Though Mark definitely has a point that "a validator" is probably not the correct term to be used.
