Agreed, I also feel that in order for a parser to extract comments only
from a page a different link type is needed for a comment, it will help
distinguish a comment from the article.
Having said that I am thinking re-use XFN rel-contact for this link
type, and use rel-bookmark for backwards compatibility with existing
parsers eg:
<a rel="contact bookmark" href="#comment-001">link to this</a>
|contact could be parsed as the in-reply-to Atom Threading Extension
(http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4685).
