[uf-new] Microformats for SVG?

Has there been any work on adapting microformats for SVG?

Just like with HTML these graphics may encode structural/semantic data
beyond what the markup language itself describes.

In particular I am involved with a project for SVG metro maps, and
such maps might be a good match for microformats.
