FWIW, in an experiment, I implemented the wiki described in the TurboGears tutorial using Django (another Python Rails-like thing) last night, and chose to use ahah.js instead of MochiKit, which gets JSON data and DOMifies it on the client.  It was simply excellent to have to write only one line of JS.
