One of several microformats events.
- 2009-07-18..19 til 5pm: microformatsDevCamp at San Francisco, CA. The first ever microformatsDevCamp, for authors, designers, publishers, developers, engineers building pages, sites, and tools with microformats http://upcoming.yahoo.com/event/2888376/

Depending on venue options, we may need to move this to:
- the 16th-17th, or
- just the 17th,
- or just the 18th

planner roles
We need the following roles and responsibilities to be picked up by planners!
- sponsors - for food, t-shirts
- t-shirts (get estimate, make sure to order in time for the event, I think Ben Ward may be working on this - check with him)
- food - coordinate / match up sponsors with meals and make sure the meals arrive and are setup for the attendees
- setup - be in charge of setup the day of, coordinate with venue on setup plenty of time *before* the start of the camp!
- volunteer coordinator - recruit and organize volunteers the day of the event to help out with food, setup
- cleanup - enlist help of volunteers and all devCamp participants to help with cleanup
- intro and kickoff - run the introductory session and help start the microformatsDevCamp with traditional BarCamp intros/3tags and explanation of the BarCamp format (Chris, perhaps you can take this one?)

Like all BarCamps, this event is what it is because of what everyone puts into it. Volunteer to help setup, check people in, clean up, and help people in general have a good time and get things done.

- Microsoft SF office on Market street - hosted BarCampSanFrancisco - pinged ex-MSFT coordinator -- Rohit 21:49, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- Swedish American Hall on Market street - worked well for Webzine05, WordCamp in the past
- Adobe / Macromedia on Townsend - worked well for the first iPhoneDevCamp
- SixApart on 4th street in SOMA - they are big supporters of microformats across their products
- Google SF - we can ask Termie
- Automattic - possibly ask Matt or Marianne_M
- ... add more ideas!
- Available venues - these venues are likely to be available, and we should evaluate capacity, network connection/wifi, # of rooms, equipment/projectors, sleeping facilities etc.

- Yahoo Brickhouse on 3rd street - have hosted many talks on many topics
