The book-info microformat

In discussions about the hReview microformat, it has been suggested that it would be useful to have a book-info format to markup book metadata. This page is dedicated to developing such a format.

Book metadata

Information about a book that will commonly appear includes:

  • book title
  • book author
  • book editor(s)
  • book translator
  • price
  • publisher
  • date of publication
  • number of pages
  • ISBN
