Semantic (X)HTML refers to:

  1. The semantic elements and attributes of (X)HTML (as opposed to the presentational HTML elements and attributes)
  2. (X)HTML documents that are written using semantic (X)HTML.
  3. The practice of writing semantic (X)HTML
  4. plain old semantic HTML
