Hi,

I'm Yuval Ararat, from Sydney, Australia.

I blog at http://www.yuvalararat.com/ I'm known as ararat on some websites.

You can also find me on Twitter and Facebook, but please don't be offended that I only "befriend" with people I know well enough to share my home address and phone number with, to the latter.

My background

Been a software developer then an architect and consultant. Have done PM work for a couple of years and have been a Presales Engineer for some months. now back at the saddle as a Software Architect at Content Management vendor professional services.

Web for all

I strongly support the adoption of web standards, making web pages as accessible as possible, using the simplest language, to convey ideas clearly and efficiently to the world. Hence my proposal for a brief description of microformats.

I usually surf with whatever is the latest formal release of FireFox, using far too many extensions (including Operator for parsing microformats), under Windows XP/ Mac OS X Leopard, on a 14.1" or 23" monitor.

Censorship

I object strongly to the attempts to block the internet from Australia and have joined the fight at vNo Clean Feed.
