My name is Thomas Loertsch and I'm working at "essen & trinken" [1], a fairly popular website [2] about cooking in german. One of the main features of the site is a collection of about 10.000 recipes, all actually tried, categorized, etc. They are published as HTML 4 pages. We would like to make that collection more reusable. Adding some semantics to the presentational markup looks like a natural next step. While searching for a standard ontology we came across the hRecipe proposal, which by and large fits well with what we have already. We would like to help moving forward that format and will likely implement an "experimental version" later this year (2008).

My name is Thomas Lörtsch. You can reach me as thomas@stray.net and, very irregularily, as "tl" or "tomlurge" in the #microformats chat.

I did work at "essen & trinken" (rough translation: "eating & drinking"), a fairly popular website [1] about cooking in german. One of the main features of the site is a collection of about 10.000 recipes, all actually tried, categorized, etc. While searching for a standard ontology we came across the hRecipe proposal, which by and large fitted well with what we had already. I helped moving it forward to the current Draft status and implemented it on essen & trinken with RDFa.

Please note that my former mail adress at guj.de does not work anymore.
