iKnow.co.jp and hVocabulary

For the online social language learning website iKnow[1] we are using a common markup standard coined hVocabulary. This format is used to show the cue-response pairs that people can learn and the media associated with that. Iknow.co.jp is a website to learn english for Japanese people but we will soon move global.

Right now we don't have any specific applications that parse these microformats but we intend to do so in the future. The only purpose it serves now is making it more easy for our tech-savy users to scrape it.

Bookmarklet

Right now we are experimenting with a bookmarket that will people to easily find new cue-response pairs on the web. This bookmarklet would be an interesting first implementation of something that actually recognizes the hVocabulary format on the web.
