POSH issues

This is a page for listing apparent problems found with the methodologies of posh, and references to such problems.

Please add real world issues discovered with using posh here, starting with the URL of the real world page or site which demonstrates/illustrates the issue, and then do your best to describe the issue in a neutral tone of voice.

  • Is a web page POSH (and I am talking about the plain old part here) when you add a number of HTML elements usually divs to get a desired visual effect? For example a small test page uses six extraneous divs to get the racing stripe background. A web page can use semantic HTML but is overusing/abusing HTML elements forgetting the plain old part of the equation of POSH

FUD

FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) about posh and microformats often takes the form of hypothetical statements, which separate them from actual issues. To keep this page focused, FUD has been moved to a separate page. Addressing FUD is second priority to addressing real world issues.
