Ah crap... I seem to have caused confusion with my ramblings. Apologies.
The proposal is close to what Joe and Scott have said makes sense:

halbum
   summary (this is the haudio that describes the album)
      haudio
   playlist/XOXO
      track
         haudio
      track
         haudio
      track
         haudio

The above is the current proposal... which is not set in stone and could
change. The wiki hasn't been updated because we have not decided if this
is okay with the list.

Martin has done some real-world markup to demonstrate the album/track
problem solution proposal:

Feedback on solving the problem as demonstrated above would be very helpful.
