[uf-new] workofart

Walter, sorry for the slow reply. Yes, I was just this week alerted to the proposed hItem format, and perhaps this is the one to push forward, really. If that existed it could fill a phenomenological gap (oops, I know I'm asking for trouble using words like that if you're a philosophy graduate!). hItem looks simple and pretty much ready to go and unlike workofart, where the proposer has gone AWOL, Andy and David are still very active on these lists. Perhaps they know why it seems to have gone off the boil at the end of '06?

Once a uF like hItem was out there we could decide how adequate or otherwise it was for more specific kinds of things (artworks or whatever). Personally I'd be happy enough to use some un-branded POSH within hItem to do the extra stuff I want - at least part of the contents would make sense to an hItem parser.

Cheers, Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I notice there is an hItem.

Could that be the broader thing you are thinking of?

What would happen if workofart was a subcategory of Item?

I hope my naïve questions are of some use!

Walter
