For now, hCalendar implementers are encouraged to parse hCalendar per the general rules given in hcard-parsing, and the documented/accepted enhancements in hcalendar-brainstorming such as Tabular event calendars.

hCalendar processors that generate iCalendar MUST see also icalendar-implementations for a few more hCalendar to iCalendar conversion requirements, in particular the MUST notes listed under the Apple iCal entry.
