Dodgeball is a simple well designed location check-in service acquired by Google, and soon to be shut down. Before doing so they've offered to make data available in various portable formats.

Of course the easiest way to portably expose a lot of Dodgeball's data would be to add microformats to existing HTML pages which already have the data! E.g.

  • a profile - hCard for the person
  • a venue - hCard for the venue information. It could also use hReview for the user reviews listed there.
  • home page - could use hAtom for the recent checkins. hAtom would also be helpful on your history page.
