DRY
DRY, an acronym, stands for "Don't Repeat Yourself".
The concept is a major reason for using such microformats as hAtom. The idea is rather than publishing something twice (repeating yourself) with (x)HTML for browsers and XML for aggregators - you simply publish once using (x)HTML and allow the tools to take care of the rest.
