ISO language codes are very useful, but do we trust that to be a complete list?  For example, Lojban uses "jbo" internally, but that's not an official language code yet.
HTML4 class lang does not support (yet) the new 3 letter chars code to define languages (ISO 639-3), so different languages should be abbreviated only by using the 2 letter chars code ISO 639-1.

ISO language codes are very useful, but do we trust that to be a complete list? For example, Lojban uses "jbo" internally, but that's not an official language code yet.

HTML4 class lang does not support (yet) the new 3 letter chars code to define languages (ISO 639-3), so different languages should be abbreviated only by using the 2 letter chars code ISO 639-1.
