Per The microformats process this page is for developing a microformat to markup restaurant menus as published on the web, for consumption by services that may provide various services such as food delivery.

Most restaurants publish menus on their own websites. Many also publish their menus on third party sites (delivery services like Door Dash, reservation sites like Open Table). A microformat for menus could help solve, or at least alleviate, this problem.
