But then you have the context of those sites to derive additional
information such as user, date, etc.

Not quite.  

They are not "just bookmarks".

They are *tagged* bookmarks, with and optional *description*.

Many reviews in the wild are simply a description of the reviewed item.

Ryan's analysis is correct.  xFolk is nice and simple and deliberately so.
If you need richer information, you might as well use hReview, because it
already has specific properties for reviewer, dtreviewed etc.

Yes, and that's exactly what hReview does -- the "reviewer" should be an
hCard.
