I've thought about the user issue in the past, and I'm glad to see  
someone bringing it up.  My reaction would be to say that we should  
allow embedding of a simple hcard as that standard exists and is  
meant to be used in a distributed way.

As regards the date, I need to understand the use case better and its  
importance.  Do you have some existing examples?  What would this  
date relate to?  When the bookmark was originally produced?  When it  
was republished somewhere?  What date formats do existing services use?
