Perhaps. :-) I tend to favor emergent designs that allow practitioners to
extend/abuse as needed as adoption spreads. If the need is clearly present,
I am for supporting it by design. If not, I am for going just far enough to
ensure such use cases are not impossible.

Anyhow, let's get our roster of interested parties filled first before we
start arguing. ;-p

I agree with both of you; and I'm also a big supporter of codifying existing
practices. At the same time, and this may be anathema to the discussion, but
the design of a data format inherently reveals the underlying politics and
biases of the designers.

I'm only suggesting that we make sure that any work done on hJob be
bilateral in nature -- that it codifies job publishing practices, while at
the same time, as you said, not close doors.
