The implied "nickname" optimization proposal as documented on
hcard-brainstorming, and +1'd by various folks with no objections, has been
accepted and added to hCard.

 http://microformats.org/wiki/hcard

In short, you can now markup even smaller hCards like:

<span class="vcard"><span class="fn">tantekc</span></span>

as you might see for the "author" on a blog, or username on a reviews site
etc.

In the process I cleaned up and clarified the "implied" optimizations in
general in hCard and hopefully made them easier to
understand/publish/implement.

Please follow-up with any questions or issues.

I've pinged Brian Suda as well, and I hear X2V will be updated shortly to
support the implied "nickname" optimization.

Thanks,

Tantek
