This is a great point, but votelinks are defined to be on rev, not rel, 
so it would be

<a href="http://en.wikipedia.com/wiki/microformats"
rel="tag directory nofollow muse" rev="vote-for">Microformats</a>

is 'muse' is allowed on urls that aren't people?
