Thanks for pointing this out.

My preference is to keep them both (I do think they were created to and
serve distinct purposes) and better document what purpose each serves that
makes them different.

The "advocacy" page has some documentation of its purpose at the top of the
page.

I'll add some text to "spread-microformats".
