Hi,

there are two interesting side ideas around rel="tag".

First is using rel="DC.subject" for a very similar purpose, but where simply 
the content is the "tag".

Second idea is from Mike Schinkel: Include the complete path into the meta 
information, thus adding information about a topic hierarchy. So from the 
path you know that topic A is a subtopic of B which is a subtopic of C...

If you use the profile attribute it is possible to distinguish the two 
rel="tag" versions.
